Purrfect Space is a captivating collection that combines multiple brilliant ideas into one outrageously beautiful design. Inspired by 1980s Hello Kitty designs, especially a tartan check with Kitty floating around, it's like a blend of ukiyoe (Japanese traditional block print) and contemporary design. The design includes beach balls borrowed and reinterpreted from an actual 1800s bandanna. What else would cats in space be doing but playing with beach balls?
One Ear has dedicated this design to interesting colors, applying a generous amount of Quantum Color Theory. Focusing on colors already used, especially those around the neck area, the designer studied vintage neckties, specifically Hermes, for their great color palettes. Eventually, a perfect combination of green and blue was found, creating a look that's a bit soccer hooligan and a little cute, carrying a fun and spectacular aesthetic with a touch of cat fur covered sweatpants.
